What families of our Veterans are saying about Heroes' Corner

“We are deeply grateful for the gentle care and compassion you provided to our Dad and to our family... We’ve been particularly touched by your consideration and respect for his dignity. We have the gift of peace of mind, knowing you consistently met his constantly changing needs for comfort – especially important in his last days and hours when he was most fragile. We knew if we needed to leave, he’d be surrounded by outstanding professionals, who were also caring, loving, individuals with special intangible qualities unique to end of life care. Finally, when it came time to say “good bye” you were there with heartfelt hugs, kind words and unending support.”

“From his first day there you treated all of us as you would your own family. Your support helped us to find the inner strength we needed to navigate a very challenging time. We knew you’d attend to his very need, as well as listen and address our every question.  What a comfort when a staff member, no matter how busy, stopped to sit and spend time with us, expressing words of support or quietly listening.”

“I would like to thank you for taking the great care of my husband. Everyone on your staff was such a blessing for me and my family. We will never forget your passion and kindness to us. May God Bless all of you.”

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us all comfortable and getting us anything we needed at any time, and most importantly making sure my grandfather did not need or want for anything. You are all TRULY wonderful people and we all thank you so much for everything you did for our entire family. It will never be forgotten.”

“Thank you doesn’t come anywhere close to what we all feel in our hearts for all of you.
We are all so grateful [our loved one] was able to spend his last days where he was so loved and cared for by so many wonderful people. The entire staff will always hold a special place in the hearts of all of us.”

“The compassion shown by each one of you is so very heartwarming! We know our father had a kind word and smile for each of you and in turn you thought enough of him to treat him as family. Thank you for being there not only for him but also for us.”
