Volunteers honored at drive-thru event

drive thruSporting poodle skirts and blue jeans, staff at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center honored more than 100 hospital volunteers during a 1950s-themed drive-thru event Saturday, Sept. 26. The event took the place of the annual volunteer recognition banquet, which had to be scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the volunteers enjoyed the new event. "This is awesome. This is a great idea. I love it," said Clare Scheuerell, who was honored for logging more than 100 volunteer hours.Read More.
